How to get really good at anything like a pro?
I was chatting with some friends the other day about this.
The power of habits.
Honestly, I’m not kidding, trust me.
But this is a game-changer.
I’m talking about something as simple as the actions or activities we do every day.
Over and oevr again.
Disciplined.
Without missing a day. Day after day.
Well, maybe you’ll miss a day here and there...
But not too many. And it’s better to adapt some days based on what’s happened.
But always try to do them.
They’re non-negotiable habits.
And now the question is:
What habits?
That’s important.
Decide where you want to be, then choose the habits that will bring you closer to that goal.
Plan them and do them eevry single day.
Pick habits that might be hard, but ones that inspire and excite you.
For example, this daily email is like that for me.
It’s hard at first,
Because I have to write every day, without missing a single one...
But I do it because I want to inspire you.
And this whole habit thing is just as important when it comes to learning software.
Do a little bit every day.
Schedule it, and you'll be amazed at how much you've progressed in a few months.
Trust yourself and stick to it.
Schedule it. Come on. Why NOT?
The power of repetition is one of the most powerful forces we have.
And we have to use it.
Right now,
Grab your calendar, and if you don’t have one, plan a task today to get one.
I use Google Calendar. It’s awesome!
Set a daily recurring task to learn front-end development, put 10 minutes, no more.
But schedule it and do it every day.
What you put on that calendar should be non-negotiable activities.
You don’t have to take my word for it,
Try it yourself.
That’s it for today.
If you want to learn (in an organized and structured way) how to apply TS in React projects, I recommend this:
P.S.1: Above. A little bit every day, and in a few months...
P.S.2: I never know which day to wish Merry Christmas, today or tomorrow. Anyway, Merry Christmas. Enjoy time with your loved ones.
