New stuff to keep it simple. React 19
ref as a prop?
A surprising headline on the web about React's new release.
How? What?
Yes.
Awesome.
You can now access ref as a prop for function components.
This is great.
Goodbye to forwardRef.
They say it’s going to be deprecated.
They’re also releasing a tool to automatically update yuor components.
That’s great.
Before, the code was much harder to write with forwardRef.
We’ve been waiting for something like this.
Why wasn’t it like this from the start?
Oh well...
Better late than never, right?
That’s what they say.
So yeah...
This new version of React has brought some cool stuff that simplifies the code.
That’s always great. Anything that simplifies...
Is welcome.
In the React Pro Series: TypeScript, there’s a section that goes deep into forwardRef...
It shows how to use TS with it and includes a real usage example.
In the next few days, it will be updated with the latest changes from React 19.
Updated with the latest changes.
